Hello all...I have a METV question and appreciate any help.

I'm about to leave Thailand and return to obtain another 60days. My original visa exp date is Nov 15th.

How soon can I go and get a 30day ext?

Thank you for your help.

Answer summary

The user inquired about the timing for obtaining a 30-day extension for their METV (multiple entry tourist visa) before it expires on November 15th. Comments suggested that extensions can be applied for up to 15 days before the expiration date, with some immigration offices in places like Bangkok, Chiang Mai, and Phuket potentially allowing up to 45 days. It's recommended to check with the specific immigration office regarding their policies.

Depends on the immigration office you apply. Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Phuket allow 45 days. Best to check with the office you are going to.

Seeing its expiring in 14 days.. yes. It will be added to your visa expiry date anyway.

So then may I go directly from the airport when I arrive (having received the 60 days) to immigration and get the 30day ext on the same day?
