TLDR : Answer Summary
The 60-day COVID extension typically starts from the date of application, but it depends on the issuing office and the discretion of the immigration officer. It is advisable to apply close to the expiration date of your current stamp to avoid losing days if the extension period begins upon application.

No. If you are on a visa exemption scheme, you go to MTT.
I came in BKK ,entry stamp 30 days in airport and after 30 days extension in immigration office, witch expires 10 Jan.....so next I'm going for 60 days covid extension
then in that case you definitely DO NOT go to Chaengwattana :O

you're talking about a 60 day covid EXTENSION (there is no covid visa) ๐
Whether a 60 day covid extension starts from the date you apply or is added to your current stamp's expiration is totally up to the issuing office and officer. For the first covid extension we recommend you apply close to the date your current stamp is running out, so you don't lose too many days IF it starts the date you apply.
