Could someone please confirm,

Do they count the 60 days from the date you apply or the date the current (covid-) extension in your passport expires?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The 60-day count for a COVID extension in Thailand starts from the date you apply for the extension, specifically for the first extension. For subsequent extensions, the count adds on days based on the current visa stamp.

If it’s your first covid extension then from the day you apply. Subsequent extensions would add on the days to your stamp.
