If you like to visit Thailand for a longer time, take a look at the Multiple Entry Tourist Visa before you go. It gives you 270 days of stay if correctly used.

METV must be applied for in home country only. I think the OP already used one since he mentioned being in and out of the country 3 times on a tourist visa.

of course, you can be asked to show proof of funds, proof of address and proof of onward travel but having a visa IS a step in the right directionGlenn ******************
Actually Steve getting the visa does not mean you will be allowed to enter the country. Though I have to say I have not heard of that happening.
