What was your experience applying for the DTV visa in Thailand?

Hey y’all! I GOT APPROVED THIS MORNING ❤️‍🔥

My personal DTV application experience went like this:

I decided to go with Muay Thai for my soft power activity. I’d been in touch with one of the owners of Tiger Eye Muay Thai since 04/03/26 and he was extremely helpful with the process. I reached out May 8th to discuss class options and pricing. I decided to go with 1 month deposit for 12,305thb ($385usd) instead of paying for the full 6-9 months up front. I was a bit wary of this since I’d heard so many horror stories about being rejected for short activity duration; but he assured me it would be fine considering I was applying through Washington D.C. They also note that the payment is just a deposit on the invoice.

By May 12th, I transferred my payment via Wise to avoid any international fees. The transfer cleared within 24 hrs. I also sent over requested documentation the same day and received my package by the 15th.

I submitted my application for my DTV the following day (May 16th) and it was a bit of a headache, but I figured it out. They asked for follow up info regarding class registration, schedule, and invoice/receipt of payment on the 28th. I sent those items over and received my approval this morning 😁
