What visa options are available in Thailand after November 30 for families with expiring work permits?

We had work permits in Thailand until mid August, then had amnesty and then a letter from the embassy, so good until Nov 30. What, if any, visa options do we have in Thailand after that? We have work permits for another country, but that country is currently closed, so we are trying to stay put in Thailand until that happens. The kids are still in school here and we're still renting the same house we've lived in for four years. Do we have any options? Thanks in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual is seeking options for extending their stay in Thailand beyond November 30, given their current visa situation and family circumstances. Comments suggest that they may be able to apply for a 60-day extension using the TM7 form.

You can get an extension for 60 days in that case. You need a TM7 and this form.

Ok, this looks more straight forward than the embassy letter extension. How long before nov 30 should we be applying?

I am told by immigration it's a straight forward process with the usual photo copies of passport, photos etc. Our immigration office has known me a long time though. But am sure the process will be the same as before minus the need for the embassy letter
