My son has an ED visa, and I am his guardian. He's going to change schools. How should we proceed with our visas? I never find the same answer.
Thank you!

TLDR : Answer Summary
To change schools while on an ED (Education) visa, obtain the necessary paperwork from the new school before your son finishes at the current one. Cancel your visa extension on the day his studies at the old school end, and immediately apply for a new extension with the documents from the new school. If timing does not align, you may need to cancel your current visas and start the process anew.
You asked this earlier in a different group, the answers you get here aren't going to be different. If you can manage to get the paperwork from the new school before you your kid stops studying at the old school then you both go and cancel your extension of stay on the day the kid stops studying and immediately apply with the paperwork from the new school. If you can't manage to align them then you cancel the current extension for both and start over
then why don't you cancel your extension based on being guardian for your son and immediately apply to be guardian of your daughter with the relevant paperwork from her school? As to whether your son needs a visa or not, the school might not like that as he would be on overstay so strictly speaking he would be illegal although until he hits 15 there are no penalties
Last question 😁 if I leave the country during 1 month and I come back with a tourist visa. Can I then get a guardian visa without leaving the country? My daughter is also studying in Thailand with an ED visa and I could be her guardian. Besides, my son is under 14 years old and I was told on another forum that he doesn't need a visa. Is this true? That's two questions 😜
