The question 

My son has a voluntery visa o which only expires in end of July 

He has registered to study at Siam technology And paid the fee and registration 

He was Told he has to leave Thailand go to Laos  and come back with Ed visa 

Many people are saying  that because he has so much time left on  his visa before it expires he can obtain his education visa from immigration department in Bangkok 

Please advise thank you
