Hi everyone. Im seeking advice on my current visa issues. Right now I am in possession of an ED Visa howvever I have just graduated from my college. A business is open to hire me to work full time, meaning that I have to change my Visa to a Non-B Visa. So I have just a few questions that I hope some of you can help me out with:

1. Is there any way I can get the Non B without leaving Thailand.? For instance, can I cancel my ED visa and then apply for the Non B within the country somehow?

1. In the case that I have to go back to my home country, is it possible to send my documents by courier instead of having to travel back?

I really look forward to any answers. Thanks in advance:)

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on converting their ED visa to a Non-B visa after graduation while currently in Thailand. They inquire if it's possible to change visa types without leaving the country, based on others' experiences and recent changes in immigration policies. Comments indicate mixed responses, with some suggesting it's possible while others recount being informed it's not allowed.

I have spoken to the officer in person at Chaeng Watthana. Unfortunately, she said it is not possible.

that's for teachers, who have been granted an exception to convert in country. On the basis the OP said a business is willing to hire him I don't think this will apply to him.

as we anything in Thailand can be up to the officer, it also say other types as well

At the Immigration office nearest to me they were adamant that I cannot because it is an ED visa.

I see. But I live in Bangkok though and I dont think I can make it to Phuket by Monday. Also did they specifically say that they are also able to change ED Visa. One of the Immigration Offices here said that when it is ED Visa, you have to return to your country first. But I have also heard of people that have been granted Non B visas who were on ED Visa before.

you use the immigration office of where you live. If Phuket are empowered to do in country conversions then I’m sure Bangkok are too.
