Ive a very important question about ED visa!

Ive currently one which expires 1 june. I do not want to extend it and just start with normal tourist visa. I was thinking about leaving the country to Singapore on 30th May and come back 3rd June. My question is, if thats fine? Will that work?

Ah and one more thing. Is there other option where I can change my ED visa to tourist visa without leaving the country? How much would this change cost? How long does it take?
