Can both parents apply for a Guardian visa if their kids are on ED visa in Thailand?

Hello, we are a family of 5 coming from Canada. Our kids will be going to international school, so they will be on ED visa. Just confirming if both parents will be able to apply for Guardian visa? The school advised we can both apply for Guardian, however I'm seeing people saying that only one parent can apply for Guardian.

If we apply for one Guardian and one ED (learn Thai language) for the parents, what would the financial requirement be? Wondering if anyone has done this recently and has experience. Thanks for your help!

TLDR : Answer Summary
A family of five from Canada is inquiring about visa options for parents while their children attend an international school on ED visas. The school suggests that both parents can apply for Guardian visas. However, there are mixed opinions within the community, with some claiming that only one Guardian visa can be issued per child. It is noted that one Guardian visa is typically available for each child under an ED visa, and each parent must meet the financial requirement of 500,000 baht in a bank account.

Yeah. One child, one guardian. Kind of annoying (my nephew & wife & son moved to BKK) Nephew & son on ed/guardian visa & wife on DTV.

2 kids cover 2 parents. You each need your own guardian visas. And need 500k each in an account
