Hi, does anyone know if we still need to make an appointment before going to the immigration office for ED visa and Guardian visa (transfer from different type of visa to Ed visa). If so, can I make one appointment for both and where can I make the appointment please? Thanks a lot in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion clarifies that making an appointment at the immigration office is not mandatory for processing the ED visa and Guardian visa transfers. However, if you prefer to schedule appointments, it is required to book separately for each visa. Information on booking appointments is available on the immigration bureau's website.

You can walk in, appointments are not a must. Or if you want to make appointments, you need to book for each of you. Go to the immigration bureau website, scroll down a bit for an "online appointment". Chose your region then the office.

thanks a lot for the heads up. Will an appointment shorten the queuing time? If not, I might just walk in

, that totally depends on how many people are waiting when you want to apply. Maybe hundreds of people are waiting, maybe no one is there at the time you arrive. At least the appointment gives you the actual queue number around that booked time. The decision is yours.
