I am about to start a program of medical treatment in Thailand, which with follow ups and so on, will last approximately 1 year, with likely follow ups into subsequesnt years (it's a hip replacement - with complications).
Does anyone have any experience of applying for the DTV based on these criteria?
To add - I already live in Thailand, but i work rotations offshore outside Thailand, and am looking for a way to make my visa situation better than continual tourist visas.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on obtaining a DTV (Dependent Visa) for medical treatment in Thailand lasting approximately one year, following a hip replacement surgery. They mention currently living in Thailand and working offshore, expressing a desire for a more stable visa situation compared to continuous tourist visas. A comment indicates that someone successfully obtained a DTV with just one medical appointment, suggesting that it might be feasible for the user.
Thanks Peter! But, you presented just a booked medical appointment or you went personally to the appointment? Which was the document you used to comprove it?
You can present a booked medical appointment/s. The number of appointments and length of treatment for approval depends on the embassy, some are ok with 1 others require multiple,
, thank you for your reply - do you mind me asking what other supporting documentation you had to provide, aside from proof of your appointment, and also where did you apply?
