What if you do not know anyone In Thailand for a reference on your COE? I put hotel manager’s name from last year’s visit but they want their passport number too. Also, I don’t have passport numbers for US reference either. Is this going to be a problem?

TLDR : Answer Summary
If you don't know anyone in Thailand for your COE reference, you can use the hotel you are staying at as a reference person. It may not be necessary to provide their passport or ID number. Also, if your US reference does not have a passport, it is generally acceptable.

Just put the hotel you're staying at as a person of reference. You don't need their passport or ID number.
