TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, an unvaccinated person can enter Thailand but must undergo a mandatory 10-day quarantine at a designated quarantine hotel. Different airlines may have varying policies regarding vaccination proof, and unvaccinated travelers may face challenges while moving around Thailand, including repeated COVID-19 testing and the risk of positive tests leading to hospitalization.

Travelling around Thailand unvaccinated is a pain. Repeated covid tests, always running the risk of testing positive and off to hospitel/hospital together with a significant bill.

it’s it also needed to board a plane and some carriers won’t let you onboard unless you prove you are vaccinated

it's impossible. Which airline does not allow? Qatar, Emirates, Singapore Airlines do not require vaccination.

When I flew to Moscow with Emirates Airlines, I didn't even take a test!

For international travelers who are unvaccinated or not fully vaccinated, they will be required to undergo the mandatory alternative quarantine of 10 days in a designated quarantine hotel in Bangkok, Phuket, or Samui before they can travel to other parts of Thailand.

You can enter but you need to do quarantine of 10 days in a hotel room.
