TLDR : Answer Summary
When filling out a DTV (Digital Tourist Visa) application, applicants who do not have a confirmed flight can choose various methods to indicate their departure date. Some users suggest leaving the field empty, while others recommend entering a flight number or providing a date that is up to 180 days away. It’s commonly noted that as long as the entered date is within the permissible duration of stay, the application should be accepted.

Just make sure it's within the 180 days and it'll be fine. I put in my flight there but the departure date i just put in a date earlier than 180 days.

You can just enter a flight number.

We looked at flights coming in the day we were set to arrive and just put that flight number without purchasing the tickets. It worked fine.
