I submitted my TDAC 2 days before I’m supposed to arrive in Thailand but on the website it states that it needs to be submitted 3 days before, will I be denied entry?
Answer summary
The common consensus among community responses is that submitting your TDAC (Thailand Digital Arrival Card) 2 days before your arrival in Thailand is acceptable, as the submission window is within 3 days of arrival. Several users confirmed that even if forgotten, the TDAC can be completed upon arrival, with some doing so right at immigration without issues. Users suggest ensuring the TDAC is submitted before boarding the flight to avoid potential airline scrutiny, and to utilize the THIM app for easier processing.

If you use the THIM App, you can fill it out way in advance. THIM will then remind you to return to fill out the health certification within 72 hours of your arrival.
THIM also saves some of your information until next time. It is a great improvement once you go through the trouble of setting it up.
I submitted it 2 days before. No one even asked or looked at it. When I was going through immigration, the IO didn’t even ask me anything. Not even the purpose of my stay. 🤷♂️
Kari Syrjä as a help to remember it's tdac and not dtac : Thailand Digital Arrival Card. Dtac would be something like Digital Thailand Arrival Card which is nonsense.
Just be aware that some airlines might not let you depart without a valid TDAC. It’s not the law but their discretion and as they hold the keys to the plane, save yourself the stress and get it done before checking in
Richard Hornby I can imagine that happening for an ETA, electronic travel approval, like the ones who needed to enter Australia or the US. But the TDAC is not due before the fight leaves, it is due prior to clearing immigration
Chuck, that might be the case but people have been asked to show their TDAC prior to boarding in home countries. I’m just advising people to lessen the stress and plan to complete it before travelling, response is normally no more than a few minutes, because the issuing of the TDAC does not confirm entry in Bangkok, it’s just a warning that you are coming and them acknowledging. A little bit like immigration offices and banks here, the rules applied are the ones decided on by the person in charge of that branch 😎
A family of 4 were in line in front of me at immigration. They hadn't filled in a TDAC. They were told to leave the queue and complete it online or at one of the terminals.
Omg it’s 3 days before departure or 72 hrs before departure, how hard is to work out,and also it comes back within seconds of submitting it with or code
เดวิด เพียร์สัน Young man , you need to know the difference between Arrival and departure first .. Whether you live in Thailand or the North Pole doesnt make a difference.. Marianne is 100% correct 😉
You’re good. Even if you forgot you can do it when you arrive ( takes a few minutes ) although I don’t recommend that. After a long flight you don’t wanna have to deal with it
Has anybody else had trouble doing that on the new app I tried multiple times using that app and they wanted me to photograph my passport but they never accepted the photograph that I sent so I ended up having to go back to the government site and did it on there took me all 3 minutes
the app was bad it wouldn't accept my passport at first then said I was Scottish after it scanned my passport cheeky fooker lol so deleted it and re submitted it now all good tske picture in good light so no glare from plastic cover over picture page then scan back of passport ect you should be good to go 👍🏻
The website doesn't say that. It says you can only submit within 3 days of arrival. You can do it when you're standing in line at the airport if you want.
