Hi everyone, I need some advice about my DTV (Soft Power Muay Thai) visa entry.
I received my DTV visa in August and I already used my first entry when I arrived in Thailand on 1st September and stayed until 23rd November.
Now I’ll be making my second entry on 4th January, and I want to make sure everything goes smoothly because I’ve heard immigration rules have been changing a lot recently.
During my first entry, I carried all the documents I submitted for the visa (accommodation proof, training receipt, etc.), but immigration didn’t ask to see anything.
For this second entry, what should I expect?
• Should I carry proof of accommodation again?
• Should I carry/prepare updated Muay Thai training receipts?
• Do I need to show 500,000 THB in my bank account for financial proof?
• Are they generally stricter for second entries now?
If anyone has recently done their second entry on the DTV Soft Power Muay Thai visa, I would really appreciate your advice or experience.
Thank you! 🙏🥊

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice for their second entry into Thailand on a DTV (Soft Power Muay Thai) visa after recently completing their first entry. They want to know if they need to bring proof of accommodation, updated Muay Thai training receipts, or show financial proof of having 500,000 THB in their bank account. Several commenters reassure them that the second entry is unlikely to be more scrutinized than the first, and having relevant documents ready is generally a good practice, even if not always required.
I think this has yet to become a real problem. But people are definitely getting anxious about getting pulled by the IO on re entry. My gym is working on setting up a members area on our website. You can log in in front of the IO and show him your account with data on attendance and courses paid for. Can upload photos of training too so hopefully should be enough to satisfy immigration.
Your second entry will extremely likely be like your first, no questions asked. The recent changes are not for visa holders. The 2nd entry is not automatically harder than the first. Many have entered 5, 10 or more times with no issues. Having your MT docs to hand is good to have, in the unlikely case of being asked.
