What should I know about parking when visiting Chaengwattana immigration office during construction?
Just a Warning if u don't know already. I went to Chaengwattana this morning to extend my visa. I had an appointment so I drove there. Be warned..... most of the on street parking outside the building has been removed due to the massive ongoing construction. There is parking at levels 3 4 n 5 near the Centra Hotel but that was full. Took 30 minuts to find a space.
Leave Plenty of Time to park if you are driving to Chaengwattana over the next few months.

just offering advice. I have a car so I use it. It is by far the cheapest and quickest way to get there.

No. I said most of the on street parking in front of Building B has gone. You now have to go into the multi story car park beside the Centra Hotel 3 4 or 5 level which was full when we got there.Dennis **********
Hi I got here on the 22of the 11th got a 30 day on arrival I’m herefor 58 days so I went to immigration today for a 30 day extension she said come back 3 days before my departure date is this white

Yes it is it ok 3 days before what if there is a problem only leaves me 2 days to sort it or I’ll have to leave and re enter I didn’t want to do that just wanted an extension for another 30 days

what you want to do and what Jomtien immigration wants you to do, are 2 different things.As it gets busier, you can expect them in a week or 2, to start telling people to go on the last day of their stay as per normal.

I typically red line train to IT Square then cross the road from IT square and walk about 100 metres towards immigration where I would catch the first motorcycle taxi stand on the road that immigration is on

You can be sure if they ever get things sorted, easy parking and train at the door, they will move immigration farther away.

Recommended not to drive a car in Bangkok. Never understood people who have cars in bkk.

yep but that leaves you a long long way from Building B. And a long long time from Sukhumvit. So I drove. Just a warning about the parking
