DTV approved!! I wanna share my experience with the applying members. I got lots of help from the members of this group. Thank you everyone ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™.

I got approved in Vientiane, Laos. My walk-in appointment on Dec 11 and collected my passport on Dec 13.

(Note: After Dec 20 Thai Embassy in Vientiane will be closed until January 1 to upgrade their system to e-visa application)

My previous visa was in Thai language school.

I am working remote for a Singapore-based company. I applied under "workcation as a remote worker" category.

This is the list of documents I submitted

- Letter of request for visa approval

- Filled out Visa application form

- Portfolio (Resume)

- Education background and career related certificates

- Employment Contract

- Payslips since contract started

- Verification Letters from my Employer Company (employment certificate, remote work verification, visa sponsorship letter)

- Company registration docs (Singapore ARCA docs since my employer is Singapore-based)

- Bank statement 6-month (some say 3-month okay but I submitted 6 to be safe. I used Bangkok Bank account)

My employment contract with the Singapore-based company started in October. I submitted my Oct, Nov payslips. But the officer gave them back to me over the counter.

I wrote a neat cover letter "Request for Visa Approval" mentioning my purpose to apply for DTV. The officer carefully read it and asked me a few questions about my remote job.

I saw that the most important documents the officer carefully checked were

- Employment contract

- Company verification letters

- Company registration docs (Singapore ARCA)

- Bank statement

I submitted a 6-month statement of my Thai Bank account I opened with my language school visa.

The officer carefully checked transactions at the end of each month. I think it should be an account you are using regularly.

Lucky for me my company supported all the necessary documents and everything went well at the embassy.

I got lots of help from the members of this group. Thank you everyone.๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™ ๐Ÿ™

And I hope everyone will get approved and live in your dream country.

Hi, may I ask some questions.

How many days did you fill in for the duration of proposed stay on a visa application form?

Does the guarantor in Thailand need to be a Thai citizen?

I filled in 180 days coz it's the number of days one can stay consecutive.

For the guarantor in Thailand I filled in "Myself". I mean, the bank account I submitted for visa is in my sole ownership, so why not.

For the guarantor in Laos (in your case it would be the country you apply from) I just left it black.

Thank you for the helpful information!

Yeah of course. It's not mandatory to have a Thai Bank account. You can show your bank account from your country that has a credit equivalent to 500,000 THB.

Be sure to prepare all the necessary documents. Like an account ownership certificate with stamps and bank manager signature and all.

I think the most important thing is, it should be an account you use regularly.

Just my assumption coz the officer carefully checked my transactions at the end of each month.

Good thing I was using it daily.

You mean you plan to submit both your interest account and the one you use regularly, right? I guess itโ€™s fine as long as both accounts are in your sole ownership and you show proof that you can withdraw from your interest account anytime you want, without any restriction.

As far as I understand, the 500,000 THB bank statement is the proof Thai officials require to believe that you can support yourself well while enjoying your stay in Thailand.

So it would be best if youโ€™d include a detailed explanation on the purpose of keeping 500,000 THB in an interest account and separate your regular transactions in another account.

what if i've put my money into an interest account recently that doesn't show many transactions, but i can show another account where i'm doing all my transactions/where i moved the 500,000 from to the interest acc?
