Hi,

Has anyone used the nakhom phanom border crossing recently and if so how was it? Ive done my last 4 exit/reentry at chiang khong and all were quick and smooth.im thinking of using this border as will spend a week or so cycling the thakek loop .any information much appreciated. Also I think I can use an evisa at this crossing.

And someone earlier was just asking about it you can use evisa here and the consensus was that it might not be possible. I did VOA and it was $40 paid in perfect USD bills I had my own photo didn't have to pay anything extra but some report extra hidden processing fees

I wasn't allowed to walk across so they probably will give you issues trying to cycle across but not sure on that. Most of the truckers didn't want to have the liability of bringing me across and that was without a bike with me.

thanks for that. I usually put my bike on the bus at chiang khong[100 baht] no problems and at nong khai they let you cycle across the bridge so I was just curious about nahkon phanom crossing. I'll give a try anyway.

You can use the visa at any entry point into Thailand.
