Hi everyone, I saw a post in other group a few days ago from someone who applied for a DTV Dependent Visa in Vientiane, Laos and mentioned that they were called for an interview.

I would like to ask if there are any other DTV dependents here who were also called for an interview?

If so:

* What questions were you asked?

* What additional documents did they request you to bring?

My spouse was granted a DTV (Digital Nomad category) last year and is already the main DTV holder. I am now planning to apply separately as a DTV dependent.

For my application, I plan to submit:

* A sponsor letter from my spouse (the main DTV holder)

* My spouse’s foreign bank account (USD) as proof of funds

If the embassy asks to see the bank account on a mobile phone, the account will be under my spouse’s name, not mine and which I don’t have on my mobile. Has anyone been in a similar situation? How did you demonstrate that the funds belonged to the main DTV holder who was sponsoring you?

Also, for those who attended an interview, did you bring printed bank statements (PDFs) along with the original supporting documents?

That’s a stressful one. Usually an ADR slows the timeline a bit, so embassy closures can definitely push things back. If you’ve already submitted everything they asked for, it’s mostly a waiting game now. I’d just keep checking your portal and email regularly, some embassies can move pretty quickly once they reopen.

can they send answers on weekend or just business days? especially HCMC in vietnam

Some applicants have reported status changes over weekends, but most approvals tend to come Monday–Friday. Since you’ve already uploaded everything they requested, it’s mostly a waiting game now — just keep an eye on both your portal and email.

1- No I applied for HCMC in Vietnam

2- they asked for proof that I'm in vietnam as well as my scan of my full passport pages - 6 months bank statement - and other requested documents
