I went to class for 2 weeks before lockdown. Expired after amnesty, never went back to class, went to immigration once, was told to wait back in Sept when it was extended.
No appointment, no hassles at Chaengwattana. Just paid 3000 overstay and 1,900. Was told to come back on Nov 23 and they'd give me a 60 day stamp.
They even made a copy of my TM6 which I forgot and my picture was not a 4x6 and I was wearing shorts.
Sounds to good to be true, wondering if I wont get the stamp later π€

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is awaiting a 60-day visa extension in Thailand after paying an overstay fee and is concerned about receiving the stamp. Comments indicate that extensions related to COVID-19 are typically processed without issues, but the user faced a penalty for not applying before the amnesty deadline. It's recommended to return on the specified date to complete the application process.
I believe you're confusing the fact that if your stamp expired on a weekend and you went the next day the immigration office was open (like that Monday) you wouldn't accrue any overstay fines.
You applied for an extension because you can not leave Thailand because of COVID-19. I never heard of an under consideration stamp being rejected for COVID-19 reasons.
