I got a new passport, the DTV is on my old passport (it's the old DTV, with a sticker on the passport, not a digital one).
Question: Do I need to go to the Thai embassy to move the visa to my new passport or can I do it in BKK airport when I land?

TLDR : Answer Summary
Once you have obtained a new passport, you must retain both your old passport with the visa sticker and your new passport. Visa stickers cannot be transferred to a new passport. It is recommended to visit the local immigration office in Thailand to inform them of your passport change, but you will need to keep both passports on you until your visa expires.
so they will simply stamp my new passport based on the visa sticker on the old passport?

Anonymous participant exactly. The old passport is invalid but the visa inside of it is not. It's a clunky workaround but it's all you can do for a physical sticker.
You need to take both the old and new passport to immigration. They will add a reference to your old passport into your new passport, allowing you to use your e-visa PDF without carrying both passports.
Anonymous participant no you can not. You have already been provided with the correct information. You either transfer at the royal Thai embassy in your home country or you do it at immigration officers in Thailand.

Anonymous participant you must go to royal thai embassy for transfer visa from old passport to new. They at thai embassy can do but airport immigration can't do and can do 180 days stamp only

Anonymous participant airport immigration will not transfer the visa to new passport.
I just did this with my Canada passport but went to immigration in Thailand and transferred visa to new passport.
