Hi! I got an interview call from the Dhaka embassy on April 29th. Since then my application has been on pending approval status. I have over 2.4 million baht in my bank account and always been 150k+ over the last six months. I have been doing freelancing over the last 13 years with total earnings over $500k. Last year earnings $74. I have provided my Upwork profile link and 2 letters from the clients, income tax return certificate. How long will it take to get the visa approved? Can it get cancelled? I have heard that if it remains long on pending approval status it usually gets cancelled and they don't disclose any reasons.

Yes, that is a normal procedure as I have heard that they usually call to ensure I am outside Thailand. They have asked me why DTV instead of other visa? I said because I don't want to do the hassle of doing a visa again and again. Then, they I asked me about the client name mentioned in a contract letter, I explained that in detail what the client does where we operate the business in New York and New Jersey. Before they ask, I have provided another client's contract and I explained to them about that Idaho based client's project as well. Finally they asked me which platforms I work on? I replied I am among the top 1% freelancers at Upwork. Nothing about the financial thing asked may be provided 4.5 times more than the required amount. Showed remittance over $20k in the last 3 months. I am afraid because I may be living in the wrong country where they never ask for additional documents or interviews except the phone call and evaluate even a single entry tourist visa with highest possible scrunity.Robert *******

After the interview call, it went to pending approval from document check processing. There is no way to communicate with them. They call for a phone interview . You can't call them, they don't respond to email. Once the call is done, you just have to wait for their decisions.Robert *******

National Thai holidays will delay approval. You are only cancelled if they find something wrong with your application.

They asked me why DTV over the call, and I replied because I don't want to get rid of the hassle of doing a visa frequently. Is it negative?

it is not negative as the DTV is for multi entry use and frequent visitors are encouraged to get it. Did you also submit a statement in more detail about wanting the DTV ?Amin *******

Yes, I have provided 6-month bank statements, 3-month remittance certificate reflecting over 500k in salary for 3 months, 12 months' earning certificates from the VP of Upworking showing 12 months earning $74k, 6 months earning, 3 months earning, and earning this month. Bank solvency certificate showing 2.4 million Thai baht. Hotel bookings, flight tickets, cover letter, police clearance, tax returns, 2 letters from US clients stating their contracts are active and ongoing, a PDF of my entire online profile, and a cover letter explaining everything and why I am a good fit for DTV.
