Good afternoon! I have a question referring to ed-visa cancelation.
My Ed-Visa expired on 17th Jan 2022, and I came back to my home country at that time for a holiday. In March 2022, I obtained a non-B Visa in my home country to work for a company in Thailand, which is valid for 90 days. However, I haven't canceled my Ed-Visa and now I am not able to extend the non-B visa for up to 1 year until the Ed-Visa is canceled.
May I ask in this case, should I have any problem at the immigration office when I ask for a Visa cancellation or should I have to pay a fine?
Thank you for your advice in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about the cancellation of their expired Ed-Visa after returning to their home country. They obtained a Non-B visa but cannot extend it until their Ed-Visa is canceled. Comments suggest that the user should have canceled their Ed-Visa before leaving Thailand and would likely incur a fine for not doing so.
Thank you, Tod. May I ask besides paying the fine, will the officer refuse to stamp a cancellation stamp in my passport because I came back to Thailand on a non-B Visa?
nope, shouldn't have a problem, believe me you're far from the first person to not cancel an extension before they left and then come back in and can't get a new extension until they do
