Good day folks I just applied for a 60 day visa it came back and the dates are wrong. I was approved but I need to change the dates as anybody have this experience and do I have to completely reapply or can they amend the accepted application dates I was going to go from November 4 until January 25 hoping to get a 30 day extension once in country. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Have a great day everybody.
Answer summary
The user is concerned about receiving their Thai 60-day visa with incorrect dates. They inquire whether they can amend the accepted application rather than reapplying. Multiple comments clarify that the dates on the visa are for the entry validity period, and after entry into Thailand, they will receive a 60-day stay, which can be extended by 30 days. It's recommended to understand the visa rules and ensure travel plans align with the visa conditions.

I have made a mistake on my 60 day visa apication to the London Consulate and have not paid the fee because the payment portal did not appear before I submitted it. I have tried calling their number but there is never anyone there to answer. I have emailed but not expecting a reply. I'm not sure whether to just submit another application and pay the fee if the portal appears.

Rickski23 I'm not aware of the SETV being submitted without payment. If you can't get back in to make the payment, then I would make a new application.

Be sure you are using the official Thai website, not some other that charges you separately.

The dates are not wrong.

You have 90 days from your visa's ISSUANCE to enter Thailand.

From ENTRY, you get a 60-day stay.

You will need a 30-day extension, in your case, by Jan 2 to stay until Jan 25.

No worries. Arrive and enjoy.

You must enter and start your 60 days within that 90 day time period showing on your visa.

Rick Hamerston the visa is like a ticket with validity to use it within 90 days. When you use it to enter within those 90 days they'll give you 60 day permitted stay.

I also suspect you are misunderstanding the dates on the Visa. The dates on the Visa are the dates that is valid from in other words. You need to be flying into Thailand between those dates. When you get there you will then get stamped in and the Visa validity starts.

Kevin Jones "and the Visa validity starts"

No. The 60 days permition to stay start the day you come.

Jørgen Skjødt apologies maybe validity was the wrong word.

What I meant was visa is valid between the dates Shown on the visa.So as long as the ops flight lands within those dates their passport will be stamped for the appropriate number of days stated on the visa.

Rick Hamerston you will get a 60 day stamp when you land.

The only thing I would be slightly concerned about is will your airline allow you to board since your return flight is like 83ish days.I don’t think an extension is a guarantee, although it’s pretty certain that you will get one if you meet the requirements.

I suspect you are misunderstanding how it works. You apply for a visa and when issued it is valid for you to enter Thailand for 90 days. When you enter Thailand within those 90 days you will be stamped in for 60 days, which you can extend for a further 30 days at a local immigration office
