What should I do if my eVisa payment status shows 'Pending payment' after using a Visa card?
Hi everyone,
Has anyone had experience using a Visa card to pay on the eVisa website? After entering the security code, the amount was deducted from my card, but I was automatically logged out. When I logged back in, my application status still showed 'Pending payment,' even though the money was already deducted. Does this mean the payment went through, or did the embassy not receive it? I'd really appreciate any advice!

Answer summary
Several users have experienced similar issues with the eVisa payment system, specifically with Visa card transactions. Commonly, when logging back in after a payment, the application status may still display as 'Pending payment' despite the bank confirming a deduction. It's advisable to wait a few hours for the status to update. Users suggest checking for a payment confirmation email from the eVisa site, as this indicates successful payment. In some cases, if no confirmation is received, it may be necessary to check with your bank regarding the transaction.

I paid with my visa last week and the same thing happened with the first transaction. I saw that it was pending payment so I paid a second time which was when i received an e- receipt from the embassy and my application stopped showing as pending payment. I got a bank notification that said the first transaction was blocked by them.

Exactly what happened to me too with a Visa card. I remember having to wait for a couple of hours for the status to get updated.

You're supposed to get a payment confirmation email from the website (not the bank, the visa site) saying it went trhu
