TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for your DTV visa in Cambodia, it is recommended to stay until the visa process is complete. Typically, this approval takes about 11 business days. Staying in Cambodia is advised in case you need to attend an interview or provide additional information. Additionally, Phnom Penh is an interesting city to explore during your wait.

Phnom Penh is an interesting city anyway and well worth a visit and good look around..

11 business days is the approval term in Cambodia. Best to stay in Cambodia until approved incase of being asked to attend an interview or provide further proof of stay in Cambodia.

You need to remain there until the process completes. Don't return to Thailand until the visa has been issued
