ORIGINAL POSTERI submitted my DTV under Workcation on 30th April and still “Pending Approval”. As of now, the status still shows “Pending Approval.” Meanwhile, my friends, who applied on the same date, already received their Visa approvals on May 10th. I am beginning to wonder if there might be an issue or delay specific to my application that I may have overlooked. I would greatly appreciate any insights from others who may have experienced a similar situation, or any advice on what steps I could take next.

30th April was a holiday as was 1st & 5th of May. So really the 2nd of May is your starting day. They claim a 5 day processing time but if they ask you to supply additional information the 5 day clock resets to when you supply it

Anonymous participant Think is was all the holidays recently causing huge backlog. Embassy calender only had them closed 3 days since the 30th, but got strong suspicion most if not all back office staff have been off closer to 9 days since the 30th (thai plus Vietnamese holidays). Noticed huge drop in 'just got my DTV approved' type posts from the region over last 2 weeks. Still waiting here since the 8th
