Got my DTV (Workcation) approval under 40 hours from Singapore with a request for further documents in between. Approval issued on Saturday morning, indeed strict but a highly efficient embassy nevertheless!

Thu 8 Oct 2026, 4:10pm: Submitted and paid.

• Fri 9 Oct 2026, 3:44 pm: Embassy emailed asking for further documents.

• Fri 9Oct 2026, 4:16pm: Uploaded the 3 requested documents.

• Fri 9 Oct 2026, 5:26pm: Status moved to Pending Approval.

• Sat 10 Oct 2026, 7:53am: Approved, and the visa was delivered by email. The email arrived at 7:55am.

• Visa: valid 10 Oct 2026 to 9 Oct 2031, multiple entry.

So:

• From uploading the follow-up documents to approval: about 15 hours 37 minutes, overnight.

• From submitting to approval: about 39 hours 43 minutes, or about 1 day and 16 hours.

Hi, planning to apply mine from HK as I’m a HK resident, just curious what additional documents did they as you on top of the usual ones?

I’m not doing any remote work or anything online but I have the bank requirement as well as my proof of residency which is my ID, will eventually also get the school acceptance letter, and since my brother is working there— I will be staying with him— I understand they require accommodation proof as well, what could I give for that situation?

Anonymous participant 456 Hello, they asked for proof of salary or income for past 3 months and also highlight the transactions to them as well as proof of residence in Bangkok. I have an existing lease in Bangkok so that was not an issue. I would suggest that you screenshot what they ask for (should they ask) and send it to Claude or ChatGPT and let them craft the required documents for you without guessing or getting it wrong. Since I had already uploaded all my documents to both AI platforms, it takes just minutes for them to generate a solid PDF with explanations so that was how I managed to upload the additional documents quickly.

Anonymous participant I see, thanks so much— in my case it’s my brother that has his name on the lease of the apartment— I wonder what proof I can give them for this———

Also, am not fully employed as I am Self-employed but not online work ( tutor ) so I get paid by bank transfer and cash— would that be sufficient enough as salary proof?

I also wonder if one goes to Thailand purely to learn ie enrol in cooking classes/muay thai classes etc…and does not have a full-time employment in their resident country—would that be a problem?

Just a reminder to print out your e-Visa and supporting Soft Power enrollment documents, as immigration officers may ask to see them upon arrival.
