hi all, quick question here! I applied for the dtv on July 2 in Manila, Philippines. I know my docs and $ are all good (been in my account for over 3 months).

Today makes the 7th budiness day and I still haven’t heard anything at all. Still shows as “pending document check.” Can anyone who applied in Manila tell me how long this stage took for them/if them taking this long to just check my docs is normal?

Many thanks in advance! Good luck everyone with the DTV process 💪🏼

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the typical duration of the document check stage for a DTV visa application submitted in Manila, as they have been waiting for 7 business days with their status still pending. Comments indicate varying experiences, with some applicants experiencing 2 days while others mention it taking closer to 2 weeks or even longer, particularly considering recent Thai holidays which delayed processing.

For me 2 days, for my wife 2 weeks.

Both in Manila.

Good luck getting a DTV in less than 20 days … very rare.

I applied in Manila at the start of the year, excluding 2 days waiting for documents from me, it took 3 days of processing. Back then I think there website may of said 5 business days as I was expecting to be gone by the following weekend (had my flight booked) after arriving on a Monday
