What should I do if my 90-day check-in in Thailand was rejected by my agency?

My agency of multiple years seems to have dropped the ball on doing my 90-day checkin for me. They've done all of them no problem since I moved to Thailand in 2021, but I noticed they didn't email me as usual. When I inquired they said that, yes they'd done the check in for me but it was rejected. Has anyone been in this situation before? They're not being clear about what this means or what I need to do. Is it an emergency or something that can be smoothed over?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is facing issues with their agency not completing their 90-day immigration check-in, which was reportedly rejected. Community responses suggest that the rejection could be due to a mistake such as a TM30 mismatch. It's advised to file the report in person at the immigration office as soon as possible, especially if within the 7-day grace period, to avoid additional fines. The discussion also includes various opinions on the necessity of using an agency for this task, with some advocating for self-filing as it is straightforward and free.

Really? You use an Agent to do your 90 day report? Easy to do yourself unless too busy 5555.

So easy to do yourself and costs 0 baht.

That's the joys of helpless people who can't carry out a simple task themselves! 😂

outsourcing services is not uncommon. Do you cook your own food everyday? Do you educate your own children? Do you grow your own crops?

I do all those things periodically, but I've yet to PAY someone to fill in a simple form. That's a new one for me! But I understand many people lacked an education and need their hand held for the most simple tasks

I didn’t ask for this agency, it was granted as a perk from the job that issued my work visa

Sounds like a good "perk" 😂

I don't suppose your kind agent will be refunding you 2000B for your fine?

It sounds like your agency was filing online for you, and that what they filed was rejected. Most likely due to international travel or a TM30 mismatch. Instead of them going to the immigration office to file in person which would be accepted, they just decided to not notify you and not do anything about it. Sounds like it's time for a new agent.

You can do your 90 day report in person up to 7 days after the due date. If that time period has not passed yet, go file at your immigration office.

If that time period has already passed, then you will be fined 2000 baht next time you need a service from immigration.

thank you for this very helpful comment. My visa is expiring soon anyway so I’m probably going to just do nothing and leave the country. If I have a problem on exit I will sort the fine then. It would be my first issue of any kind. To everyone who thinks I’m helpless… I didn’t ask for this agency, it was granted as a perk from the job that issued my work visa.

you won't be fined when you exit. The only time you might be fined is at the immigration office when you are trying to get some type of service.
