TLDR : Answer Summary
Travelers who have recovered from COVID-19 and hold a valid recovery certificate may face complications upon entry to Thailand, particularly regarding day 1 and day 5 COVID tests. Although the recovery certificate may exempt entry, positive test results on arrival can lead to additional quarantine requirements, causing confusion within the expat community.

If you get a recovery certificate which is valid and gives exemption to fly, shouldnt it also be valid for a day

day 1 not day 2; first PCR test is done the day you arrive. So any talk of a day 2 test is wrong.

A test on day 1, quarantine on day 2. There is no talk about a day 2 test.

OP originally had day 2 and day 5 test mentioned in his comment, then edited it to say day 1.
