Late online TM30

Hello everyone,

I forgot to make sure my online TM30 was completed by 4pm yesterday inside 24 hours of arrival to thailand but got distracted because my wife & I had to urgently take our dog to the hospital and then on top of this got a puncture in our car tyre on the way home and tried to have it fixed which took ages because the hole is in a difficult place to fix.

I managed to do the first step this morning and photo A is the screen shot that came up with “informed”

But in photo B I couldn’t complete the next step where you can save and download a copy because it was not completed within 24hours as the message in the photo shows.

Is that necessary?

Or is it enough that it’s says informed and wait to Monday or Tuesday to see if it is completed?

Thanks in advance 🙏
Answer summary
The user missed the 24-hour deadline to submit their TM30 after arriving in Thailand due to unexpected circumstances. They have received feedback indicating that the late submission is not a significant issue, as the TM30 can be filed anytime and reflects their current residency status. Key points include that the 24-hour timeframe is mainly informational, and they can resubmit the TM30 at any time without penalty.

The message about it having to be done within 24 hours is not an error message saying the submission was invalid, it's just an informational message, telling you what the regulations say. As

says, your TM30 is already submitted and it really doesn't matter when you did it, just that you did it.

You're overthinking this. When you file a TM30, you're filing it for right now. Forget about the 24 hour thing as it doesn't matter. Especially since you can only download proof of the TM30 for 7 days after it's submitted. That means most people just do a new one when they need it. There's zero issues with doing that as the past doesn't exist with TM30. A new one is the only one and replaces anything done previously.

If it helps you can think about it like this: say you went to a hotel yesterday and checked in and they are legally required to do a TM30 for you, but they didn't. How do you have any way of knowing that? Then you came home and filed a new TM30 because you returned. A different TM30 was never filed but you can file the new one no problem. You can file a new one every week if you want, it's just a database. No one is approving or checking.

So just file a new one for today. Then go back in and search for it and export it. If you ever forget to export it and then you need proof, go submit a new one and export it. The only thing immigration cares about is that your most recent one reflects where you're actually staying, regardless of when it was filed.

And FYI there is no "waiting to see if it was completed"

The TM30 is instant. You submit it and it's done.
