What should I do if I don't have my TM30 printout when applying for a visa extension in Thailand?

Just FYI, I went to Chiang Mai IO for my 1 year extension of stay based on Thai spouse but didn't have a print out of my TM30 as I've always used the Section 38 app. and unfortunately when I did it in January, I didn't screenshot it and of course when I went to pull it up, screenshot and print it later, the system was down. I was expecting a fine but I just explained what happened and they gave me a new TM30 receipt, no charge. Everything else was fine.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user shared their experience at the Chiang Mai Immigration Office while applying for a one-year extension based on their Thai spouse. They encountered an issue as they did not have a printout of their TM30, having used the Section 38 app and not captured a screenshot due to the system being down. Despite expecting a fine, they explained the situation and were issued a new TM30 receipt without charge. Another commenter noted that experiences may vary by location.

Thanx for that update. Good to know.

And people remember this is Chiang Mai ONLY

Your mileage at the immigration office you use if you don't have proof of having filed a TM30 might vary :P

I don't think Chiang Mai is fining people about TM.30 like they were previously, either that or I was lucky also.

Currently all 90 days are being done manually even at immigration, well that's what I heard.

I was at immigrations this week and they can now access their side of the online programs again (which is a step up from when they were just writing your name and passport number on a blank 90 day report receipt) SO they can look up previous filed TM30's and 90 day reports now.

great news. They have 2 weeks to get the online system up. Although I drive passed Promenada to get to the office, so no real big issue.
