Hi I’ve got a problem with the eVisa system. I hope someone can advise me how to proceed.
A week ago I applied for Non-O visas for me and my wife at the Thai embassy in Berlin, completed the applications and paid with my credit card. I just checked the progress and both are marked “Pending Payment.”
Now just around that time, without any prior warning, my bank swapped out my credit card due to a “security issue.” All the payments I made around that time on the old card were honoured, but I see there’s no debit for the visa payments.
On the eVisa website, there’s no mechanism for going in and changing the payment details.
Does the “pending payment” mean they just haven’t gotten to my application and processed the payment? Or does it mean the payment was blocked and never went through? (Maybe my bank’s security problem was actually the visa payments processed by Kasikorn.)
Should I just let those applications die and submit new ones with the payment from my new card? Or wait for them to come back to me and ask for payment?
We’re traveling to Thailand mid-August so the clock is ticking.
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on their Non-O visa applications for themselves and their wife after encountering a payment issue in the eVisa system. They applied a week ago at the Thai embassy in Berlin, completed the applications, and paid with a credit card. However, their bank replaced the card due to a security issue, and the eVisa status shows 'Pending Payment.' They are unsure if they should wait for the embassy to address the payment status or submit new applications with the new card, as they plan to travel to Thailand soon.
