Hi, im confused by the school of my kids they have non immigration ED visas. Also to cancel my non immigration O visa. I asked for visa cancelation letter. They asked which day im going to immigration. N once cancel we will have no visa. But does it mean my kids cant go to school immediately or we must leave Thailand immediately??

School very vague cant answer to me. My flight not confirm date yet but its within next 2 weeks time.

I wonder does it mean if my flight is tomorrow. I can only go today to cancel visa??

After cancelation of visa.how many days do i have before i can leave? Or do i need to get other visa.

Im very confused. Please help.thank you.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is confused about the implications of cancelling their non-immigrant O visa while having children enrolled in school with non-immigrant ED visas. They are uncertain if cancelling their visa means they must leave Thailand immediately and seek clarity on the timeline for leaving after cancellation, especially given their tentative flight plans. The community suggests obtaining a letter from the school indicating a delayed departure, which may allow for staying in Thailand a bit longer after visa cancellation.

Get a letter from the school stating you want to cancel the extensions of stays in 2 weeks. Take that to the immigration office they will, cancel your current extensions and give you a new stamp that lets you stay two weeks.

Then when you fly out you'll be fine

I would get the letter from the school stating you want to cancel it on the 15th and then take it to the immigration office WAY before the day before you fly. They will give you a new stamp dated for the 15th

i plan my flights on 15th so i go to cancel on 14? Or is it safer to tell school i will leave on 15th and ask them to state on the the letter?

you don't need to cancel them on the day you're leaving you can go early..
