Good morning đ My husband has a work permit/Non-B visa until November but he will finish his contract on 30/03, the same day his company will cancel his visa and work permit. I am his Non-O dependent. Our 2 kids have both a student visa just issued. We are planning to convert our visa to Non-O Guardian and apply in Hong Kong. âBesides the legalised and certified birth certificate of our kids, evidence from the bank of stable deposit of 500K, and a letter from the school, do we need to ask my husbandâs company any specific document other than the visa and work permit cancellation ? ââthe kids school told us that because my husbandâs visa is valid until November, even if the cancellation is done on 30/03 we still have 21 days by default before leaving the country. Is this correct ? I thought we had 24 hours extendable to a week by going to Cheungwattana. Many thanks and have a good day .

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is inquiring about the necessary documents for converting their visa to a Non-O Guardian visa for their children after her husband's work permit is canceled. She mentions needing documents like her children's birth certificates, proof of stable bank deposits, and a letter from the school. Additionally, she seeks clarification on the grace period for leaving Thailand post-cancellation of her husband's visa, whether they need additional documents from his company, and confirms what financial requirements are necessary for the visa application.

And I don't think you need some papers other than that from your husband's company. But if your husband brings salary slips (or financial related documents from the company he'd already have at the time) from past (i.e. proof of ax payment), it wouldn't harm..
If you have an Extension of Stay based on being the dependent of your husband, this has to be cancelled the same day as the work permit and Extension of Stay from your husband.
If your husband is working for a BOI company, he get 21 days to leave the country.
You GO and cancel the extension and depending on the company the immigration office gives you the extension canceled stamp that gives you between 7 days and 21 days to leave the country) it is NOT a given you'll get 21 days. You' will find out when you cancel the extension
Not all BOI company employee get 21days. some get only 7 days. (sorry not sure what is the condition for difference). So make sure you can get 21days if you want to count on them.
Usually, this lenient days are given 'automatically' without new application. But this is also you better to check in advance.
I know the cases getting 21days, 7days or didn't get any additional days to leave. They are from different but all BOI companies.
