Hi,
Can anyone share your experience bringing a cat from USA to Thailand?
A family member is traveling over. Her kitten is a few months old now, but we wouldn't want to put her under the plane since she's like the runt of the litter and is a tiny girl.
My family member has the cat as emotional support but we aren't sure if we can or should put the cat up for such a long ride especially if she has to ride as cargo.
Singapore Airlines Is the airline we are using.
TLDR : Answer Summary
Traveling with a cat from the USA to Thailand involves specific airline regulations. Under Singapore Airlines, pets must be at least 3 months old and cannot travel in the cabin as emotional support animals. Instead, they can travel as checked luggage, which is safer than cargo since it's temperature and pressure controlled. Direct flights are preferable to reduce stress on the animal, whereas stopovers may be more challenging.
