I’m extending my Retirement Visa for the first time. I’m in country and my current Non-O is good until Dec 9. My bank account has maintained a balance of over 800k baht for over a year. I do plan on multiple entries in 2022 as I have a business in the US that is ongoing. Besides the checklist of required documents and photos, is there anything else I should consider or plan for?
TLDR : Answer Summary
When extending your Retirement Visa (NON-O) in Thailand, ensure you purchase a single or multiple entry re-entry permit to maintain the validity of your extension. You will need to apply for a new one-year extension based on retirement, and if you entered on a Non-OA visa, be aware that health insurance may be required. After applying, you'll receive an under consideration stamp lasting around 30 days, after which you will finalize the extension at the immigration office.
