Hello, I am American applying for non-immigrant O visa (spouse) in the US for the first time. I am wondering about the certified invitation letter from my spouse indicating that we are married and that I am invited to come to Thailand. The required documents also include a certified copy of my spouse's passport. Certified by who? What needs to be included in the invitation letter? Does it need to be in English or in Thai? Is there any example or template that someone could show me?

Please and thank you.

TLDR : Answer Summary
To apply for a non-immigrant O visa (spouse) to Thailand, the invitation letter from your spouse should include a statement of marriage and an invitation to Thailand. The letter can be handwritten and signed in blue ink by your spouse. It does not have to be formally certified other than signing a copy of their passport or Thai ID. The letter could be in Thai, and an example would be: "I, (Thai wife's name), holding Thai ID #xxxx, am married to (your name) passport number yyy and I invite him to Thailand."

Everything that Tod has told you, I had the same my wife just put in the letter that we were married and she wanted to visit Thailand with her, They accepted that good luck

what they really mean is that she makes a copy of her data page of her passport or thai i/d and SIGNS the copy in blue ink

AND the letter inviting you is just a hand written one (it can be in thai) That says,

I, (thai wife name) holding thai i/d # xxxx, am married to (your name) passport number yyy and I invite him to thailand

Don't make it harder than it is
