I have a staff member who's on a Non-B extension (thru to Dec 25) + WP + multiple re-entry permit. She has resigned and needs to leave Thailand unexpectedly and soon.
While we can probably get her WP cancelled, there is insufficient time to formerly cancel her visa before she leaves.
What are the implications if she leaves without us having cancelled her Non-Imm B extension?

TLDR : Answer Summary
When a staff member on a Non-B extension leaves Thailand without canceling her visa, she may face implications regarding future entries. While she can exit the country without canceling the visa, she needs to inform immigration upon her return to ensure she doesn't receive an extension stamp. Failure to cancel may result in fines when she subsequently attempts to cancel the extension at immigration.
sometimes things can go fast if there is a will to work.

You don't cancel the Non-B extension for her, SHE goes to the immigration office with termination paperwork before she leaves and cancels it ๐ If she can't do that she can just leave.
when/if she comes back she needs to tell them NOT to stamp her back in on the extension w/re-entry so she can go cancel it after she gets back at the immigration office.
Tell her to let passport control know she wants to enter visa exempt
She will get fined for not having cancelled it when she goes to cancel it once she's back though.
helpful Tod. Any sense of what the fine would amount to in real terms? She'll be out of the country for several months but will eventually return I'd imagine to sort out her personal things
