How can I ensure my PCR tests and transfers are organized when booking a SHA+ hotel in Phuket?

Hi guys, getting confused around booking a hotel for when we arrive in Phuket in a couple of weeks.

If booking a SHA+ extra through booking.com/agodo , is it correct to assume the hotel will book your PCRs for you including transfer. I cant see anywhere highlighted on the booking site detailing this. I’m thinking they will email after confirmation of booking with these detailed, but it worries me and some outrageous extra costs.

If booking only a SHA + hotel I need to organise the PCRs through PSAS site and the transfer myself.

Conscious I need hotel booking confirmation, PCR and transfer confirmation all together to apply for Thailand pass!

Thank you for any advice 🙏🏼

TLDR : Answer Summary
Travelers arriving in Phuket are concerned about organizing PCR tests and hotel transfers when booking a SHA+ hotel through platforms like Booking.com or Agoda. Some users suggest directly contacting hotels for better service, as there have been warnings about booking through third-party sites. It's noted that the first PCR test will be conducted upon arrival at the airport, with day 5 tests at medical centers. Confirmation of hotel bookings, PCR tests, and transfers must be consolidated for the Thailand Pass application.

You need to go via a different link to see the test and go options.

@Steve ******
so you didn’t book your PCR through PSAS?

@Fern *******
Nope. Everything was included in the test and go package, airport pick-up and PCR test.

Ah, ok, I thought it would be the same process for all the test and go packages.

Dont use booking.com there was a warning about it from Thai goverment

There was some issues with booking.com and thai government were advising don't use them. Not sure if that's still the case.

Easier to got direct to the hotel have them arrange transfers tests etc

If landing in Phuket the first test is done at the airport. You need to arrange transfer to your hotel. You can do this privately but it’s probably best to get the hotel to organise. The day 5 is at an approved medical test centre. You book both through the PSAS site.

so in any event we organise the arrival at airport PCR and day 5 PCR through PSAS and transport if it’s via hotel or independently (ideally hotel tho). Sorry so many questions but if booked though acodo the hotel should state transfer included on their site or they’re likely email after with a charge? Before getting arrival PCR result are we allowed to roam the hotel and it’s facilities? Thanks a lot!

@Fern *******
I can’t confirm whether they’ll state transfer or not. You’ll need to take it up with them. You are confined to your hotel room until the results of the initial PCR test are confirmed.
