## Please confirm. Im totally paranoid about this system. I'm traveling from Australia in a few weeks fully vaccinated. I've booked a AQ one night SHA plus hotel for accommodation in Paton. They tell me I need to organize separately from the hotel a RT PCR test. Like from the airport? I don't see how this is right because if I get a test then they pick me up in a cab how is this even correct , just incase I had picked up covid right? then if this is the case whats the point of a SHA plus hotel. Seems all backward. Please help , Im having serious issues getting anyone in Thailand to answer, reply or even take my money. previously i had tried to book a hotel with the required testing , but again no help and confussion. help me brothers.

TLDR : Answer Summary
Traveling from Australia to Thailand requires an understanding of the COVID-19 testing process upon arrival. You are correct to seek clarity: upon landing, you must undergo an RT PCR test, which is typically included in your SHA+ hotel package, especially in major cities like Bangkok. SHA+ hotels often provide airport pickup and the testing is organized to streamline your arrival process. If traveling to Phuket, tests may take place at the airport instead. It's advisable to confirm with your hotel about the details of the test and pickup to avoid confusion.

Getting a hotel+swab package would have been easier

If you’re staying in BKK I booked through Novotel siam Square they answered my call and sent me all the necessary paperwork..cost ฿4,800

Your SHA+ hotel booking should've included RT PCR test and airport pick up.

Be aware there is a difference depending where you are arriving in Thailand. In Bangkok the testing is done at your hotel. Quite probably in the car park before you go in. You don’t pay a separate price for the test as it’s included in the “Test and Go” package.

In Phuket the tests are done at the airport and you need to prepay for them at the link Garrett provided.

sad, there's no consistency and or standard on their procedures, just following. Seeing how arrivals could be cumbersome and convoluted. Sad.

The RT PCR is in most packages you pay for hotel

@St***
Test and go is Bangkok.

Not since Nov 1st. The Pcr test is only included if you're entering I Bangkok (apparently since the covid test is done at the hotel, not the airport).

It should be included in test and go packages and outlined in the hotel booking confirmation

ahh ok. I’m just going on the hotel I’m using. States that the test is included

It's really not that confusing. You need to have a covid test when you arrive at the airport in Thailand. You need to pre pay for that covid test before you fly.

After you get your covid test, you take an SHA+ taxi to your hotel and stay in your room until the results come back, usually within 4-5 hours.

Hello, this might have already been answered but I just needed to ask 😊 I’ll be flying from the US back to Thailand on December (got both vaccine cert and vaccine passport from Thailand). Can I apply for the TP as soon as I can? Flight is on Dec20 to be exact.
Garrett ***********
@Nor***
I don't think it will let you apply more than 30 days in advance, you could try though.

Alright 🙂 so 30 days in advance is safe yeah? at least 7 days, right? hahaha it’s paranoia kicking in i guess 🤣 I NEED to be back before Christmas so

@Nor***
Lol the paranoia is warranted though. People are having lots of issues with it. From what I've seen, if you apply correctly with the SHA QR code cropped a certain way, it will automatically approve you.

hahaha alright! I’ll keep that in mind. Thanks, Garrett!

The confusing part is I need to provide proof of a test booking. Where do I do it? The pass requires this. its not that simple.
