Hi guys, I’m planning to apply for the DTV, but I’m a bit confused about the definition of “remote worker” in this context. My company allows hybrid working, which means I’m expected to show up at the office from time to time, but also allowed to work from home (including from outside the country).

I am able to get a letter from them that indicates that I am allowed to work from another country. Would this qualify as remote worker? Or does it only apply to people who are fully remote?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster seeks clarification on the definition of 'remote worker' for the Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) in Thailand, questioning whether hybrid working allows for eligibility. Responses indicate that having a letter from an employer permitting work from Thailand is essential, even if the individual is not fully remote. It's advised that the letter should specify Thailand as an acceptable location for remote work, and participants emphasize the importance of working for clients outside Thailand to comply with visa regulations.

getting a letter from my company isn’t a problem actually m. Just want to be sure that I don’t have to be a full remote worker to qualify.

You will be fine. In the company letter ask them to mention Thailand specifically as a place you can work remotely from.
