Hello, I want to apply for a DTV visa in Vietnam (uk passport) as a freelancer and have the funds in my account. I however have started my freelancing quite recently and therefore don’t have any proof of income yet (I have a portfolio, website, social media presence etc). If I have the 500,000 baht in my account will that be a problem?
Also, does the 500,000 baht need to be in my account for a certain amount of time? - I recently got an early inheritance so it’s only been in my account for a short time.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A UK passport holder applying for a DTV visa in Thailand can do so with 500,000 baht in their bank account without any minimum income requirements. The key point is to have a final balanced statement showing the full amount at the time of application. The duration for which the funds need to be in the account is not specified, but recent deposits may raise questions; clarification on this aspect could depend on the discretion of the visa officer.
