Hello everyone.

My work permit and visa will get cancelled either today, tomorrow or on Monday, but I will only leave the country on the 18th (due to waiting for my visa to go to another country). What can I do to stay legally until the 18th?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is facing a situation where their work permit and visa are set to be canceled, but they need to remain in Thailand until the 18th to wait for a visa to another country. Commenters suggest applying for a Covid extension of stay, which is permissible until July 25. However, they highlight that waiting for another country's visa may not be considered a valid reason for an extension. The proper procedure involves canceling the work permit at the Ministry of Labor and then applying for a new extension at the Immigration Office, with the risk of a 7-day notice to leave if the extension is denied.

@Kaylize *****
perhaps look into applying for the Covid extension of stay (currently able to apply until July 25 I think). If will either be approved or denied - in which case a notice to leave of 7 days is given. As
@Robert ******
mentioned, waiting for a visa to another country is not a reason to be given an extension here unfortunately.

After your visit to the Ministry of Labor to cancel YOUR work permit, you walk into the Immigration Office to cancel your Extension of Stay.

You can directly apply for a new Extension of Stay, if you can not meet any of the requirements you will get Not approved and 7 days to leave the country.

Waiting for a visa for another country is no legit reason to apply for an Extension of Stay.
