I'm getting my dtv visa at age 43 years old and after 5 years into the visa, I'll be 48. What would be the best way to bridge the gap to stay in Thailand for two years until you qualify for a retirement visa at age 50?

Mention as a rumor doesnât count.
Spreading rumors about this and that only bring confusion and insecurity, thatâs why everybody should not listen or spread rumors about anything until it has been through Parlament, and been announced in Royal Gazette.
The official announcement is dated july 2025.

Focus on the DTV and actually getting it before you worry about 5 years from now. No idea what visa options will exist then.
