Hi I had COVID in late December and have been unable to get vaccinated. I am on STV and have had COVID extension 3 times. If I am unable to get another COVID extension in mid February my visa will expire. Does anyone know where I can go and then fly back in shortest time frame?
Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
An individual holding a Special Tourist Visa (STV) in Thailand is seeking advice on how to renew their visa after facing difficulties in getting vaccinated for COVID-19, which is a requirement for further extensions. They have already utilized the COVID-19 extension three times and fear that their visa will expire in mid-February. Community members suggested trying to secure an extension before it expires and recommended looking into neighboring countries like Cambodia or Laos for a quick trip to facilitate the visa issuance process.
Why don't you first walk in and try and get a covid extension before it expires before worrying about "what ifs". It's not like there will suddenly be fewer or more options ....
why not go now. They won't give you a stamp BEFORE your current stamp. It's such a ridiculous excercise that can be entirely avoided! Now you don't lose the days ..... only on first extension... you're wrong. Go now and stop making yourself crazy lol I have 3 extensions. Never lost a day and never went in LESS than 20days before expiry .
I lost days last time I went because I went early. They give you 60 days from when it is stamped.
I don’t want to go right now because I am not vaccinated, I have dogs here and a fiancé here. I can’t just pack up and leave unvaccinated and go somewhere and come back easily that’s why I asked the question here. If I could leave for a day and come back I would.
Also I may get the extension then everything is easy I can get vaccinated and then leave and come back etc
Bonnie Smith. Quarantine in Cambodia, mandatory $50,000 health insurance and 10 days quarantine in Thailand, plus three PCR tests and however many in Cambodia, plus airfares. He's probably looking at close to 100,000 baht
I'm not sure because it's very hard to find new info but I think I saw a story that you only have to quarantine for 2 days in Laos. I also saw that you can quarantine in any hotel in Cambodia not just hospital

Why have you been unable to get the vax? Have you registered?
. So you've got a certificate of recovery which substitutes for one vax, so you need one jab. What is the date on the certificate?

I haven’t got a certificate yet but had online consults with Thai doctors as I didn’t want to leave the house with COVID. I rang the hospital they said I need to go in and they can help provide this.

Dale Townsend. Ok I suggest you get this first, then get something in writing from the doctor who provides this to state you must wait three months before you can get the Vax, then make an appointment somewhere to get the vax. Armed with this go to immigration and present this documentation and request the 60-day extension. Nothing to lose. If you need to know a doctor who can provide a certificate of recovery send me a PM and I'll give you the details.
